Indian Ocean Fresh Australia is based in Geraldton, Western Australia. We specialize in the on shore handling of longline caught Tuna and Swordfish. We receive product in three main ports in WA, including Fremantle (Perth) and Albany with our home port being Geraldton. Product landed in Exmouth and Carnarvon is trucked to our Geraldton factory for processing.

Indian Ocean Fresh Australia is responsible for exporting many tonnes of fresh chilled Bigeye Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna and Broadbill Swordfish every year to various markets including Japan, USA and the UK. We are EU registered. We also supply various markets within Australia.

The company is owned and managed by Erica Starling, who commenced working with Tuna and Swordfish in 1994 for her family company which was developing the longline fishery in WA. This family company now operates three of their own vessels in the fishery. As a number of other operators began to enter the fishery the demand for processing and distribution of the catch increased. Erica commenced trading in 1995 under her own company which is now called Indian Ocean Fresh Australia.

As the fishery has developed so has our range of products and markets. We process and market Tuna and Swordfish for a number of vessels operating in Western Australia, enabling us to supply product year round in the form our customers request. As a large number of operators working together we are able to consistently provide product which can enhance the marketability of the products.

All of our fresh chilled products are dispatched from Perth International Airport with daily connections to most major international and Australian cities.
